Bullpen Session – Chicago Blizzard

The Bullpen Session is a weekly round-up of my observations surrounding Cubs baseball and much, much more!

All the talk in Chicago is about the great blizzard of 2011, and why wouldn’t it be? The third largest snowfall in the city’s history (20.2-inches) has not only pushed the Cubs to the back burner, but seemingly let Jay Cutler off the hook, at least for the time being.

I give you guys a quick wave in the first video right before I attempt to dig out my girlfriend’s car. We tag-teamed the effort for 45 minutes, found success, and then watched as a snow truck clogged her right back in. Well, I guess it’s a head start on Thursday’s attempt.

Video two is shot looking off Clark street just north of Wrigley Field. It doesn’t take long to realize the fun has just begun!

HA! Thats awesome…speaking of which my last speech assignment in my college speech class was about the CUBS! I started with their rich history and the WS wins, covered a few greats, Harry Carey (of course!), the fact that I believed Sandberg should be our new manager, the WS lose and the douche bag who caught the ball whose name WILL NOT be metioned EVER! and finally the few things I think the CUBS! could do to improve morale and boost our image. Those things are….#1 A few players should be getting into lots of trouble; ie bar fights, destroying hotel rooms with crazy parties, carrying guns ect. #2 A few players should be dating or screwing a few models or actresses or having affairs with models or actresses. Anything to get the team some hype and getting folks excited about talking about the CUBS! Then when they are getting a bunch of attention the players egos will get stroked and everyone will be talking about them – THEN we can see the inner man-animals come out of these guys that I KNOW is in there!! HA Yeah and thats my two cents…thank you for what you do BB!!

  4. Well, this is an interesting theory you have for a Cubs rebound year.
Although, I’m curious if we missed such an opportunity unloading our favorite Cub–Milton Bradley.

That said, perhaps there’s an opportunity to add Charlie Sheen as bench coach and Roger Dorn at 3B?
Carlos Boozer isn’t far away, either. Maybe there should be one night out per week policy with the Bulls womanizer?

    Inner man-animals…I like that:)
